Categorization
I feel like the inventions we receive can be sorted into several different categories.
1) Legitimately good ideas that I support and would buy if I ever saw on market
(no products currently exist in this category)
2) Accidentally clever ideas I can imagine being made because they are small and non-intrusive, and can imagine being sold because people are total suckers.
3) Complicated, poorly-thought out ideas that attempt to solve problems only the biggest whiner would think needed solving
4) Intelligent ideas that are so smart that several people have thought of them, and with many on the market already, there chances of getting a deal are effectively zero (how do they get patents?)
5) Quite simply stupid ideas.
